Is it possible to remove the camera head and use it as a remote head?: Yes. With a few easy steps you can remove the head and connect it to the camera body.
How far away can I place the noX remote camera head from the camera body?: You can put the remote head up to 3 m from the camera body via standard connection. To extend the distance up to 100 m you can use a fiber link.
How tethered is the camera? Do I need to cart around huge recording cabinets?: No. Size and weight are comparable to a 16 mm film camera. As noX features on-camera storage you are free of any recording cabinets. With the use of a V-mount batttery you can easily record completely remote in any situation for about one hour per battery available.
Can I shoulder-mount noX?: Yes. The noX can be mounted like any standard film camera - shoulder, tripod, boom, dolly, etc.
