Can I use my current film and HD camera optics and accessories with the noX?: Yes. The noX features a removable PL-mount so you can use lenses for Super 16 and 35 mm film cameras. F-mount and C-mount adapter plates are available for special purposes.
Can I use Digiprime™ lenses with the noX?: No. Zeiss Digiprime™ lenses were solely designed for 2/3" sensor systems. noX has a much larger sensor (1.2" format) and therefore uses traditional cinematography lenses designed for Super16 and 35 mm film.
Is it necessary to digitally project material shot with the noX?: No. If you shoot with the noX you have all the artistic and economic benefits of digital cinematography, but you can transfer your footage to film any time you like, making it possible to project your material both in regular and digital cinemas.
What data format can I render to?: Whatever you like, it only depends on the installed codecs on the rendering machine, e.g. noXboX (Digital MAZ for noX). Standard formats included are TIFF, BMP, TGA, JPEG, JPEG2000, SGI, PNG, etc. You can render to image sequences or to AVI files.
